Celine Dookhran, a twenty-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped and slit on her throat by her uncle. The “obsessed” man declared that if he couldn’t have Celine, “nobody else could.”
Builder Mujahid Arshid, 33, took his niece and also a second victim, whose name is hidden because of legal reasons, to a £1.5 million (US$2 million) mansion in Kingston, Surrey, and raped them. He hide his niece in a freezer while the second victim managed to flee.
According to the juror, Arshid is “sexually fixated” with the women around him and desires to “have them” all. “Aware that they were having sex with their boyfriends, aware that they were beyond his clutches, he must have resolved that if he could not have them, no one else would,” prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC said.
“Thereafter, and it is as bizarre as it is terrible, he intended to rape them before murdering them and disposing of their bodies,” said Aylett.
He considered either putting them in acid, in order that their bodies might dissolve, or else concealing them in a deep freezer.
The second girl, however, managed to flee by making her attacker believe they could have a relationship. Then she called the police and found the Celine in the freezer. “He considered either putting them in acid, in order that their bodies might dissolve, or else concealing them in a deep freezer,” Aylett said.
Mujahid Arshid expressed that his employee Vincent Tappu, 28, a building laborer, has also helped him to carry on his plan. “The two women were taken from the house wrapped in dust sheets, and placed in the boot of the first defendant’s pickup truck,” Aylett said.
