Syrian Air Defenses Neutralize Israeli Missile Attack

According to the state media, Syrian military has thwarted Israeli missile in Quneitra province that fired the army areas. The attack only had material damage at the frontier of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The Israeli military didn’t comment immediately.

Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iranian forces are in Syria and said that Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, would not be toppled if the make Iranian forces to quit the country. Israel had declared that it shot down a Syrian drone that violating its airspace.

Syrian government’s advances in the vicinity of the Golan that Israel occupied in the 1967 Middle East war, has caused concerns for Israel. It has worried about Syrian forces can defy a 1974 Golan demilitarization.

The Syrian state media has released that “The aircraft of the Israeli enemy fired several missiles in the direction of some army positions.” Earlier this week it stated that the air defense systems hit the Israeli warplane and destroyed the missiles which were targeting the T4 air base in Homs.

In the past three weeks, the Syrian army succeeded to seize swathes of Deraa from rebellions by Russian air power help. This process is expected to continue in Quneitra close to the Golan.
