Trump Tells Sessions to Stop Russia Probe

Published

on

Trump has forced Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, in a series of tweets to stop investigation over Russia’s meddling in 2016 presidential election that received criticism from Democrats and Republicans. He has called Mueller and his team who are searching about collusion between Trump’s campaign team and Russia “totally conflicted”.

Trump has called the idea that his campaign worked with Russia a “TOTAL HOAX”, and asked Sessions and his team to stop this situation, calling a Rigged Witch Hunt that could destroy the country.

Democrats said Trump’s attempt to prevent the investigation has shown his concern about it, while Republicans asked the continuous of the investigation as the White House claimed Trump just expressed his opinion.

Democratic Representative, Don Beyer, twitted: “He’s panicking… Congress must protect Mueller.” The committee passed a law to protect Mueller, but Republicans didn’t accept it as they thought Trump wouldn’t fire Mueller. However, some Republicans expressed their concern at Trump’s tweets.

Regarding Trump’s tweet, his lawyer claimed that Trump just expressed his idea.

We have been saying for months that it is time to bring this inquiry to an end. The president has expressed the same opinion.

After that, Sarah Sanders, the White House spokeswoman, denied Trump’s obstructing the investigation and said that it was president’s opinion not an order.
